Important Notes

  • Check out time is 10.00 a.m. on the morning of departure; arrival after 4.00 p.m.
  • There are two areas for private off-road parking for uo to 8 cars; more can be parked with prior notice.
  • The house has oil-fired central heating. The cost of oil and electricity is included in the rental price.
  • Open log fires may be lit in the Library. We will supply logs, without charge.
  • We will provide some basic foodstuffs for your arrival, and perhaps a nice surprise or two.
  • The house is non-smoking; arrangements for smokers can be arranged with prior written approval.
  • Animals are permitted with prior written agreement; Cossington is a controlled area for dog fowling - we provide free doggy bags.
  • To maintain the large gardens in pristine condition, our gardener needs to work throughout the year. He is sensitive to the need to respect the privacy of our guests and will tend to avoid grass-cutting and other activities close to the house when the house is occupied. Please let us know if you wish to ensure complete privacy at any time during your stay.
  • The house and the estate were built a long time ago. We have tried to make it reasonably safe, but sensible precautions should be taken, such as not allowing children to play near garden walls, water or electrical installations.
  • Unfortunately, Cossington Park was not designed with the needs of the disabled or disadvantaged in mind. Please let us know if any member of your party has special needs and we will make every effort to accommodate these.
  • There are ponds in the garden and beyond which are unfenced.
  • Our antique old square piano is kept locked, but will be opened on request for musicians (tuning charge payable).
  • As there is a farm next door, the use of fireworks is not permitted.
