The 'Pump Room' Named after the Pump Room in the city of Bath, this is a small room in the 1901 wing facing west over the kitchen garden. My parents used to call it the Apple Room, as that is where they stored the apples from the 500 Laxton Superb trees (now sadly gone) which they planted in Blacklands, the large field that separates the gardens and Bushey Close from the crest of the Polden Hills. Appropriately, The Pump Room is decorated in green. We have 'filled' The Pump Room with a queen (5' or 52 cms), modern four-poster bed.
